Dakshineswar police raids office, arrests four in massive job fraud

Dakshineswar police have apprehended four individuals on charges of orchestrating a job scam, duping numerous unemployed youths across various districts of the state by promising government and private sector employment. The accused set up an office near the Dakshineswar Skywalk to carry out their fraudulent activities. Following complaints lodged by the victims, Dakshineswar police, led by Station In-charge Siddharth Mishra, conducted a raid on the suspect office based on undisclosed information.

The raid resulted in the arrest of the four individuals, and authorities confiscated laptops and mobile phones from them. The arrested suspects were presented before the Barrackpore Court, where a five-day police custody was requested. Concurrently, Dakshineswar police is actively investigating potential ties of the accused to an interstate fraud gang and determining the extent of their fraudulent activities.

The arrested individuals stand accused of exploiting the aspirations of unemployed individuals seeking government and private jobs, amassing significant sums of money through their deceitful practices. Victims, having fallen prey to the scam, approached Dakshineswar police to file complaints, prompting the swift action leading to the arrests. The police are delving into the seized laptops and mobile phones to gather evidence for the ongoing investigation.

Additionally, authorities are keen on establishing whether the apprehended individuals are connected to a larger interstate fraud network and are working to ascertain the scale of their fraudulent activities. As the inquiry unfolds, the focus remains on delivering justice to the victims and dismantling any potential larger criminal network associated with the accused.
